About
The Virtual Clarinet is the work of Andrew Botros, founder of Woodwind Labs, a graduate of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales and a collaborator of Professors Joe Wolfe and John Smith of Music Acoustics.
The Virtual Clarinet is the extension of The Virtual Flute which has served flutists and composers since its launch in 2001. The 2006 article below describes the original project. Specific engineering details and musical applications of The Virtual Clarinet will be published in a forthcoming article.

The principal consultant during the development of The Virtual Clarinet was clarinettist Jason Noble of Ensemble Offspring. Acoustic measurements of the clarinet were previously supported by the Australian Research Council.
